More Details
Our handmade Prussian Blue watercolour paint delivers an exceptional tonal range, shifting from diluted baby blues to intense midnight blue-blacks. Transparent and moderately granulating, it is a powerful pigment for building depth, atmosphere, and shadow.
Prussian Blue is particularly valued for its mixing versatility. When slowly introduced with Yellow Iron Oxide, Hansa Yellow, or Ferrous & Bone Green in will create a wide range of natural foliage greens. For shadows, muted greys, and deep browns, mix with Graphite Black or Burnt Umber.
Staining by nature, Prussian Blue does not lift fully from the paper, making it ideal for confident, layered painting. From dusk to dawn, this is a blue that anchors the palette with quiet strength and depth.
