Further Information
Where the Selkies Swim is inspired by the ever-changing colours of the Atlantic Ocean at a secluded cove on the Lizard Point, Cornwall.
Soft coastal greens, deep tidal blues and granulating shadows come together to reflect water in motion, light passing through swell, stone beneath the surface, and skies mirrored in shifting currents. The palette balances translucency with depth, allowing both subtle washes and darker, weightier passages to emerge naturally on the page.
Named for the selkies of coastal folklore, seals said to move between sea and land, this collection invites a slower way of observing water, atmosphere and movement.
Each colour is handmade in small batches using artist-grade pigments and our natural watercolour binder, then poured into half pans and housed in a pocket-sized metal tin.
